A person with a knife has attacked officers in Cannes, a coastal city in the south of France. At least one officer was injured.
The attacker has been “eliminated”, Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin said. He said he was going to town on Monday morning.
Authorities have not yet disclosed what exactly happened. News channel BFM TV, which relies on a source within the police, reports that the perpetrator attacked the occupants of a police car.
The attacker opened a car door and started stabbing. One of the officers in the car would then have opened fire and wounded the assailant.
