The increase in the number of new corona cases in Germany continues.
Wednesday morning, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the German equivalent of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), reported that 1226 corona tests were positive in the last 24 hours.
On Tuesday, the RKI reported 966 new cases of infection after about half of those were diagnosed on Monday and Sunday.
The RKI reports that six people died in the last 24 hours from the consequences of a corona infection. On Tuesday there were four more and the two days before only one.
