Palestinian Woman Who Attacked Israeli Soldier Killed in West Bank

Israeli soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian woman in the West Bank. The woman allegedly tried to attack a soldier with a knife.

The Israeli army and the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported this on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old woman was shot dead near the Palestinian refugee camp al-Arroub, in the Hebron region. She was shot in the chest, the Palestinian health ministry said.

The Israeli army reports that an attacker has been “neutralized” with a knife. The woman “approached a soldier conducting a security operation” on a road near al-Arroub’s camp. “The soldiers responded by opening fire,” the statement said.

Since March, dozens of people have been killed in a new wave of violence in Israel and the Palestinian territories.
