Germany wants to tighten up corona measures and, among other things, lower the limit above which an area is considered a risk area.
According to German media, this is stated in a draft proposal that will be discussed on Wednesday by the leaders of the federal states and Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The limit is now 50 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days. This will be lowered to 35.
When crossing the border, there is a general obligation to wear masks in places where people come close to each other or stay longer.
There is also talk of further restricting private parties and public gatherings. Germany wants to tighten up the measures because infections are also increasing in that country.
