Biden Not Planning to Attend Charles's Coronation

Many American celebrities pay tribute to the new president Joe Biden in an online show. The rush was on Wednesday evening (local time) by rock star Bruce Springsteen.

Jon Bon Jovi, John Legend, the Foo Fighters, Demi Lovato and Justin Timberlake will also participate in the concert to honour Biden’s inauguration.

Springsteen performed the song Land of hope and dreams from the bottom of the Lincoln Memorial’s steps in Washington. Moments later, actor Tom Hanks took the floor. “The last few weeks, the last few years, we’ve seen a deep division and a worrying bitterness in our country, but tonight we are rethinking the United States of America,” said Hanks.

“The practice of our democracy, the foundations of our republic, the integrity of our constitution, the hopes and dreams we share for a perfect union,” Hanks said, referring to the preamble to the US Constitution presidential inauguration a tradition, an act that marks the commitment to a four-year term. However, in reality, inauguration day is more than swearing in the next national leaders.

Biden also gave a short speech as part of the festive program entitled “Celebrating America.” The new president said he felt humbled.

“As I said earlier today, we have learned today that democracy is precious and that democracy has triumphed because of you”, Aldius Biden. “That’s why Jill and I, Kamala and Doug are there. Wanted to make sure our inauguration was not about us, but about you, the American people.”
