MacKenzie Scott, one of the world’s wealthiest people, donated $2 billion to 199 organizations this year. In recent years, the philanthropist has given away a total of almost $20 billion.
This year, most donations went to organizations that help people with housing, education, health or work.
Scott (54) is the former wife of Amazon owner Jeff Bezos. The couple split in 2019. Scott’s fortune is estimated at 40 billion dollars, and she still owns 139 million shares of Amazon.
After her breakup with Bezos, she started dating Dan Jewett in 2021. She and the teacher separated in 2023. She has four children with Bezos.
