FIFA, the world’s governing body, announced on Tuesday that, starting September 10, football fans will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets for the 2026 World Cup.
The tournament will be held in Canada, Mexico, and the United States, with participation determined through a lottery. Interested individuals must register on the FIFA website.
The 2026 World Cup begins on June 11 in Mexico City, and the final is scheduled for July 19 in the United States, likely in New Jersey. With an expected attendance of 6.5 million supporters, the final tournament is set to be the largest World Cup ever.
Forty-eight teams will participate, with 104 matches taking place across the three host countries.
Due to anticipated high demand, tickets will be released in phases. The first opportunity to purchase tickets will be on September 10. The draw for the World Cup takes place in December.
