British Retailers Have Had A Record Quarter

A relaxation of the lockdown measures has led to queues in schools and shops in England.

About two million young children were able to return to school on Monday, and many shops opened their doors for the first time in weeks.

People gathered at an IKEA store hours before opening hours in northern Warrington.

More than a thousand people lined up at some point. A branch in Wembley had similar scenes.

Queues also arose at schools when parents brought their children away. Sufficient distance had to be kept.

Headmasters expect about half of the families to keep children at home, according to a poll.
