More and more German states and municipalities oblige their inhabitants to wear mouth masks. The Minister of Health of Baden-Württemberg spoke out on Monday for such a mask obligation.
Minister Manne Lucha is in favour of an obligation to wear mouth and nose cover during shopping, on public transport and in the long term also during school breaks.
For example, the further spread of the coronavirus must be prevented.
Other federal states have already introduced or are going to introduce such rules. These are Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Bavaria.
In the latter state, people will have to cover their mouth and nose in shops and public transport from next week.
