Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky took to Twitter to give a sign of life by thanking Britain’s Prince William and his wife Catherine for supporting his country.
Also, on behalf of his wife Olena, Zelensky says he is grateful “that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are standing by our country and supporting our brave citizens at a crucial time when Ukraine is courageously resisting the Russian invasion.”
It is Zelenski’s first tweet in more than 20 hours.
The two couples met in October 2020 when the president and his wife were in the UK. A few days ago, the British couple expressed their support for Zelensky and the Ukrainian people and their “struggle” for their future.
