Third Woman Accuses New York Governor of Inappropriate Behaviour

A third woman has come forward accusing New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo of sexually undesirable behaviour.

33-year-old Anna Ruch tells in an interview with The New York Times on Monday that Cuomo placed his hands on her bare lower back during a wedding in September. He would also have asked her to be allowed to kiss her.

“I was so confused and shocked and ashamed,” Ruch told the Times. “I turned my head away and had no words at the time.” The newspaper also shows photos of the incident allegedly being recorded.

Earlier this week, two former employees of the Democratic governor accused him of sexually undesirable behaviour. One of the women says she received all kinds of sexual and personal questions from her boss last fall. Another former employee states that the governor gave her an unsolicited kiss on the mouth.

On Monday, Cuomo said in a statement on the allegations that he “sincerely regrets” if his behaviour was ever “misunderstood as unwanted flirtation.” A law firm is going to investigate the allegations against the governor.

Chris Cuomo, Andrew’s younger brother and presenter at the American news channel CNN, stated in his program on Monday that he would not report on the reports about his brother. “I’m very aware of what’s going on with my brother,” said Chris Cuomo. ” I cannot report on it because it is my brother. CNN will, of course, report on it. They have done so extensively and will continue to do so.”

Previously, the brothers jointly reported on the corona pandemic, Chris as CNN presenter and Andrew as governor of New York, which earned them both a lot of popularity.
