The British Government Has Turned A Blind Eye to Possible Russian Interference

The British government has turned a blind eye to possible Russian interference in the Brexit referendum. This is reported by a British parliamentary committee when presenting a long-awaited ‘Russia report’.

The publication of the report took more than a year to complete.

That delay led to speculation, according to British media, that the report could have embarrassed the government in the run-up to the parliamentary elections.

The government was indeed hit hard at the presentation.

“The report reveals that no one within the government knew whether Russia was interfering with the referendum or wanted to do it because they didn’t want to know,” said a committee member.
