Switzerland will relax border restrictions on May 11, the government announced on Wednesday.
It also announced further easing in public life and details about a corona app and government support for business.
Shops, restaurants, markets, museums and libraries in the Alpine region may reopen on May 11. The opening of museums and libraries was initially scheduled for June 8.
Among other things, the government announced that all new cases of contamination would be traced from May 11.
In addition, the government indicated that a corona app is being introduced that informs people about any contacts with infected people.
Use of the Bluetooth-enabled app becomes voluntary.
