Russian state hackers attacked a Ukrainian company where a son of the American politician Joe Biden worked.

They tried to steal emails from Burisma. This is reported by the American cybersecurity officer Area 1 Security.

According to Area 1 Security, the attack was carried out by the hacker group Fancy Bear. It would work for Russia’s foreign military intelligence service.

Fancy Bear is also accused of breaking into computer systems of the American Democrats in the 2016 presidential election.

It is not known whether the hackers have stolen anything. It is also unclear whether the attack is still ongoing.

Joe Biden wants to become a Democratic candidate in the November presidential election. His son Hunter was director of Burisma until last year.

The American president Trump has asked his Ukrainian colleague Volodimir Zelenski to investigate the role of Hunter Biden in Burisma. With that, he went too far according to the Democrats. They, therefore, started an impeachment procedure.
