Holland And Barrett

Holland & Barrett recalls Powder for Possible Salmonella Contamination. Holland & Barrett health and care store recalled a batch of Purasana Chlorella powders.

Salmonella bacteria can occur in the bags sold.

The store reports this on its website. These are products with label number CB045I17 / 12,

which can be stored at least until 30 December 2020.

Salmonella is a particular danger for young children,

the elderly, pregnant women and people with a weakened immune system.

An infection can cause diarrhoea, abdominal pain and fever.

These complaints often disappear after about three days.

The bacterium can also affect organs, bones and joints if it enters the bloodstream.

In rare cases, salmonella can be fatal; if the patient dries out and kidney failure occurs,

or if the patient gets shocked by blood poisoning.

Customers who have bought the product with the proper number can return it to the store.

They will then receive the purchase amount back.

It is unclear how many bags have been sold.
