Deputy White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre has tested positive for corona after her trip to Belgium and Poland with US President Joe Biden.
The spokeswoman already replaced another spokeswoman after she had taken a positive test.
Karine Jean-Pierre is the latest in a series of people who have tested positive and met the US president. After her return to the US, she took the positive test.
“I last saw the president in a meeting yesterday. The social distancing measures were respected.
Under current guidelines, the president is not a high-risk contact,” the deputy spokeswoman said in a statement. She has mild symptoms and is fully vaccinated.
