France Bans Entertainment Apps From Officials' Phones

From now on, French civil servants are no longer allowed to have TikTok, Twitter, Instagram and Netflix on their work phones.

As an explanation, reference is made to insufficient data security and protection. The ban will take effect immediately, the French authorities report.

France joins a growing list of countries that restrict the use of TikTok. Earlier, the United States, Germany and the European Commission, among others, took similar measures.

The federal, Flemish and Walloon governments also deleted the app owned by the Chinese ByteDance.
