The lifeless body of an 8-year-old girl was found on Tuesday evening in a forest near Köniz, in the Swiss canton of Bern. An investigation has been opened.
At this stage, the investigators consider both a possible accident and the possible involvement of another person.
Police received a report about the discovery of a body around 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Unfortunately, a doctor who was sent to the scene could only determine the girl’s death.
The victim is a child who lives in the canton of Bern, the judicial authorities said on Wednesday morning. A call for witnesses was launched.
